Website SOS is an Australian business and we work with small businesses right across the country. Because everything is done online, your location doesn't matter. We communicate by phone and email and deliver everything digitally.

How long does it take to build a one-page website?

Once we receive your completed order form, logo, and any content you want to include, we typically have your website ready for review within 5–7 business days. The total timeline depends on how quickly you can supply your content and how many rounds of feedback are needed.

Question 3

Do I need to supply my own content, or do you write the copy for me?

We ask you to provide the core information about your business — what you do, your services, your contact details, and any photos or a logo. We can tidy up and format the copy, but we don't write the content from scratch as part of the standard package. If you need copywriting, contact us and we can discuss options.

Are your prices inclusive of GST?

No, our prices are exclusive of GST. GST will be added to your invoice at the standard Australian rate of 10%.

What is included in the one-year hosting that comes with my website?

Your one-page website package includes 12 months of fast, reliable Australian-based hosting. After the first year, hosting can be renewed. If you're on our Most Popular maintenance package, hosting is included as part of your ongoing monthly fee.

Can I update the website myself after it's been built?

Accepted Answer

Yes, WordPress allows you to log in and make basic changes like updating text or swapping images. If you'd prefer not to manage this yourself, our ad hoc website work service is ideal, and our maintenance packages keep everything running securely in the background.

Will my website work on mobile phones and tablets?

Yes. All websites we build are fully mobile-responsive, meaning they automatically adjust to look great on smartphones, tablets, and desktop screens. This is a standard inclusion in every package.

Can I add more pages to my website later on?

Do you provide a domain name with the website?

A domain name is available as an optional add-on. We can register a .com.au or .com domain for 2 years on your behalf. If you already own a domain, we can connect it to your new website.

What happens to my website if I don't renew hosting after the first year?

If hosting isn't renewed, your website will go offline. We'll contact you before the renewal date so you have plenty of time to decide. Clients on our Most Popular maintenance package have hosting included in their monthly fee.

Where are your servers located?

Our hosting infrastructure is based in Australia. Australian-hosted websites typically load faster for local visitors and can be a positive signal for local SEO.

What is PHP and why does it matter for my WordPress website?

PHP is the programming language that powers WordPress. Older versions of PHP are eventually retired and no longer receive security patches, leaving your website vulnerable. As part of our Most Popular maintenance package, we check and update the PHP version on your hosting to keep it current and secure.

We don't offer email hosting directly, but we recommend setting up a Microsoft 365 account for professional email (e.g. yourname@yourbusiness.com.au). We can assist with setup as an add-on service.

What information do you need from me to get started?

To build your one-page website we'll need: your business name, ABN, contact details, your logo (or we can quote for one), your brand colours, the text content for each section, and any photos. We include 2 stock images in the standard package with additional images available as an add-on.

Can you help if my existing website was built by someone else?

Accepted Answer

Yes, as long as it's a WordPress website. Our maintenance packages and ad hoc work services are available for any WordPress site, not just ones we've built. We'll need administrator access to your WordPress dashboard to get started.
